Search Engine SEO

The definition of SEO is search engine optimization, so in a way, the title is quite redundant. However, the interesting thing is that search engine robots view those two terms as related terms instead of synonyms which makes it an excellent title for robots, but not for humans.

Why?

Because search robots, like the one that Google uses, scours the internet for related terms. When it finds enough related terms, it can approximate a pretty good guess to the theme of the page.

Therefore, if you’re talking a lot about SEO and search engines, Google will deduce that you are indeed, talking about optimizations for websites.

Synonyms have the same effect but count slightly differently. Because most people take advantage of synonyms when re-writing pages, the value is diluted as it can be one of the main indicators of over optimization. Regardless, it’s much better to use synonyms when doing SEO work than it is to simply repeat the same word, over and over again.
